As every writer knows, learning to improve your writing is hard work that takes a long time. We believe writing is about more than putting the commas in the right places, and we know from our work with both college students and professionals that complex writing skills can be hard won.

Unlike training in many other skills-based areas, such as project management or technical proficiencies, writing training requires facilitators to be knowledgeable about how writing works and how writers learn. That’s why our writing instructors are professionally trained educators in writing, in addition to published, experienced writers themselves. Teaching and studying writing is all we do.

Our founders, Brian and Jessica, have published both academic and popular articles on the topic of how writers learn and improve and have spent a combined 30 years studying and implementing best practices for the communicators we work with. We’ve had the joy of watching people of all ages and backgrounds truly change and grow as writers.

Developing as a writer is iterative, sometimes messy, and always a long-term endeavor. We can give you and your team the knowledge, best practices, and ways of thinking you need to be successful as a workplace communicator in the long term.
